BCS Empty Quick Hitch Tang for Non-PTO Attachments

Not every BCS implement is driven by the PTO. Blades, carts and drag tools only need to be held firmly to the tractor, and this “empty” tang lets them use the same tool-free quick hitch as powered attachments. It has the shape of a standard male tang, to lock into the tractor’s female bushing, but no internal drive.

Which Implements Use It

BCS lists the empty tang for the 40 inch snow blade, the 36 inch dozer blade, the Buddy Cart and the Tool Carrier Kit, which in turn carries the ridger, root digger, V-cultivator, subsoiler and bed shaper. On a tractor already fitted with a quick hitch bushing, BCS notes that the dozer blade needs this empty tang to mount.

Why It Matters

Once a tractor has a quick hitch bushing, every implement that lacks a tang becomes a bolt-on job again. Fitting empty tangs to the blades and carriers keeps every change on the tractor a matter of seconds. The Model 750 and 889 use their own HD bushing system instead.

Tang Options

For PTO-driven attachments, the standard male quick hitch tang carries the drive. Choose this empty tang only for implements that are pushed or pulled.
