BCS Power Cradle PTO Speed Increaser

The Power Cradle is a small transmission that mounts on the tractor’s PTO and raises its top speed from 990 rpm to 3,600 rpm, matching the speed of the engine’s crankshaft. That lets a BCS tractor drive tools normally built with their own engine, and it is required for three attachments: the log splitter, the pressure washer and the water transfer pump.

One Engine, Several Machines

Instead of owning a separate splitter, washer and pump, each with an engine to maintain and store, an owner buys them as BCS attachments and runs them from the tractor through the cradle. The tools become self-propelled, take less storage space, and the engine can be started before the tool is engaged.

Built Like the Tractor

The cradle’s mini-transmission uses heat-treated steel gears and shafts on embedded ball bearings in an oil bath, the same construction as a BCS tractor gearbox. Its output shaft carries a quick hitch bushing, included in this kit, and the attachments it drives come with their male tang built in, so mounting and removing them takes moments.

Not Needed for Every Pump

The high-pressure irrigation pump does not need the Power Cradle, which is part of its higher price. Check the cradle’s gearbox oil whenever the tractor’s is checked.
