BCS 150 lb Wheel Weights for 12″ Wheels

For BCS’s larger tractors on 5×12 wheels, such as the 749, 779, 852 and 853, this set adds 150 lbs of ballast, 75 lbs bolted to each wheel hub. It is the set BCS recommends for serious drag work, and with 12 inch wheels it is BCS’s recommendation for the moldboard plow.

Ballast for the Hardest Pulls

The moldboard plow and subsoiler are among the most demanding implements in the range for traction. BCS says the subsoiler definitely needs added weight and recommends 12 inch wheels precisely because they take these 150 lb weights. With the weights on, the tractor holds the implement at depth instead of spinning out.

Handling a Heavier Tractor

Seventy-five pounds per wheel changes how the tractor feels on slopes and in turns. Fit the weights where they are needed, remove them for mowing and light work, and use the steering brakes rather than force at the headland.

The 66 lb set suits 10 inch wheels. Barbell hangers let owners add only as much weight as each job needs.
