BCS Lawn Mowing Scoop Blade Kit for the 30″ Flail Mower

This kit fits the 30 inch BladeRunner, BCS’s most versatile flail mower, and swaps its brush-cutting Y blades for scoop blades that leave a manicured lawn. It suits owners whose land has changed use, a reclaimed field now kept as lawn, or a grounds crew that mows turf all summer with the same machine that clears brush in autumn.

Lawn Results From a Flail

Flail mowers spread clippings evenly rather than dumping them in clumps, and with scoop blades the cut becomes clean enough for regular lawn mowing. The full height range of half an inch to 4 inches remains available on the mower’s control handle.

A Seasonal Swap

Fitting the scoop blades takes roughly an hour, so plan the changeover for when the mowing job changes rather than for a single afternoon. For extensive turf work, BCS also suggests fitting its turf wheels to the tractor to protect the lawn.

Keeping the Y Blades
