BCS Anti-Scalp Roller for the 35″ Flail Mower

A 35 inch flail mower is heavy, and on soft ground its skids press in and let the flails dig. This full-width roller replaces the skids on the 35 inch BladeRunner and spreads that weight evenly, allowing a half inch cutting height across nearly three feet without scalping, even on soft soils.

Large Areas, Low Cut

On big lawns, sports fields or large cover crop plantings mown with a 749 or larger tractor, the roller keeps the cut even across the full width where skids would leave a scalped strip in every soft patch.

Better Over Rough Terrain

The roller sits closer to the tractor than skids or casters, so the whole unit is shorter and crosses V-ditches and uneven ground more easily, which counts on a wide mower.

Lawn Setup

For lawn work, pair the roller with the 35 inch scoop blade kit and turf wheels on the tractor. For brush, remove the roller and refit the skids so the mower can be raised up to its 4 inch maximum.
