BCS 60″ Dual Belt Hay Rake

The 60 inch dual belt hay rake is the larger of BCS’s two Repossi rakes and is built for owners making hay over several acres. Two belts carry more cut material across a wider swath, building bigger windrows in fewer passes. It is charted for the 739 and every larger BCS tractor.

Wider Swath, Fewer Passes

Ten more inches of width than the single belt rake adds up across a field, and the second belt keeps material moving to the windrow when the crop is heavy. Repossi, the Italian maker, has specialized in hay equipment since 1898, and the rake is built as professional-grade equipment for regular seasonal use.

Rake, Tedder and Dethatcher

The adjustable catching arm on the right side sets windrow width and placement. Raise the arm fully and the rake becomes a tedder, spreading wet hay to dry. At the lowest setting the combs can also dethatch a lawn. A steering lever at the handlebars controls the two front wheels, and a stabilizer foot supports the rake when it is parked.

Riding to the Hay Field

Hay fields are often some distance from the barn. On an 852, the front-mount transport gear and the mowing sulky make it easy to ride a sickle bar out to cut; the rake follows a day or two later once the hay has cured. Rake in the same direction the hay was mown so the stems feed cleanly onto the belts. Coverage is three years residential and one year commercial.

Single or Dual Belt

The 50 inch single belt rake fits every BCS tractor and costs less, which suits small fields and the 710 to 732. The 60 inch dual belt is the choice for larger acreages on a 739 or bigger tractor.
