At 209 lb dry, the HSS724AW is the lightest machine in Honda’s HSS lineup, and that is its main appeal. It rides on 14 inch tall pneumatic tires with an aggressive directional tread rather than tracks, which makes it nimble to turn at the end of each pass and easy to roll back into a tight garage. It suits flat, paved driveways and walks where traction on a grade is not the deciding factor.

Full Two-Stage Performance

Wheel drive does not mean a lighter-duty blower. The HSS724AW uses the same 196 cc GX200 engine, serrated ice-breaking auger and impeller as its tracked sibling, clearing a 23.8 inch path at up to 1,500 lb per minute and throwing snow as far as 49 feet. Honda notes that chains are not needed under normal snow conditions.

Simple Operation

Hydrostatic drive gives smooth, stepless speed from a single lever, and fingertip steering levers make the turns. Holding both levers frees the drive so the blower rolls by hand with the engine off. The electric joystick redirects the chute through 198 degrees, and the LED headlight helps on dark mornings.
