BCS 3 x 300 Spiked Steep Slope Wheels

When slopes are too steep for tires or steel cages to hold, spiked wheels give a BCS tractor grip that BCS calls unbeatable. The 3 x 300 is the narrower of two sizes: a drum 11.8 inches wide carrying three rows of 2 inch spikes, made for mowing on steep banks and hillsides.

How They Hold

Each wheel is a 15 inch tall drum with spikes that stand 2 inches proud, for a spike-to-spike height of 19 inches. The spikes drive into turf and soil on every rotation, anchoring the tractor across a slope where rubber would slide. They mount directly to the axle of any BCS tractor.

Differential Drive Strongly Advised

BCS highly recommends spiked wheels only on tractors with differential drive. With a straight axle, both spiked wheels must scrub around every turn, tearing turf and fighting the operator. Differential tractors from the 732 up let each wheel turn freely.
