Yanmar YM238 Loader Tractor on R4 Industrial Tires

The YM238GXI-TL fits the YL405 loader and 72-inch bucket to a YM238 on R4 industrial tires. It is the YM2 configuration for heavy material handling and winter work on gravel, concrete and hard-packed yards. The 38.2 HP diesel is rated at 2,600 rpm and provides 31.9 HP at the PTO.

Clearing Snow

Yanmar rates its YQASP6 box snow pusher, a 69-inch model with a rubber wear edge and boxed sides, for machines of 30 to 75 HP, and it mounts on a universal quick-attach plate. On a YM238 with industrial tires, a pusher clears parking areas and long drives far faster than a bucket, because the side panels carry snow forward instead of spilling it.

Pallets and Supplies

The YPFQA12 quick-attach pallet fork, rated at 1,200 pounds, handles palletized feed, fencing and building materials within the YL405’s 1,500-pound lift at the pivot pin.

Why R4 for Loader Work

Industrial tires resist sidewall flex under a full bucket and wear slowly on hard surfaces. A single rear remote valve, available as an option, adds hydraulic flow for rear implements. Carrying the pusher or bucket low when traveling keeps visibility clear.

Winter Fuel

Diesel can thicken in extreme cold, so using winter-blend fuel or an anti-gel additive before the first hard freeze keeps the tractor starting reliably for snow duty. Keeping the tank topped up also limits condensation in the fuel system.
