Yanmar YP285TP 3-Inch Trash Pump, 285 GPM with Honda GX200

The YP285TP is Yanmar’s larger trash pump, moving up to 285 gallons per minute through 3-inch ports with a Honda GX200 engine. Trash pumps are built to handle water carrying leaves, gravel and mud, so this unit is suited to construction site dewatering, pond draining and clearing flooded low ground after storms.

Volume for Big Jobs

Nearly double the flow of the 2-inch YP158TP means large volumes clear in a fraction of the time, and the Honda engine brings a well-known service network. Suction lift is what limits most pumping jobs, so placing the pump as close to the water surface as practical increases usable flow. Flushing the casing with clean water after pumping muddy water helps prevent grit wear on the impeller and seal. Using lay-flat discharge hose keeps the 3-inch outlet manageable while still carrying the full flow to a distant drain point.
