Yanmar YM232 Loader Tractor on R4 Industrial Tires

The YM232GXI-TL fits the YL405 loader and 72-inch bucket to a YM232 on R4 industrial tires. It is the YM232 configuration for material handling on gravel and hard ground, from spreading stone to moving pallets of supplies.

Pallet Handling

Yanmar’s YPFQA12 quick-attach pallet fork, rated at 1,200 pounds, pairs well with the YL405’s 1,500-pound lift at the pivot pin. It turns the tractor into a light-duty forklift for feed, fencing supplies and building materials delivered on pallets.

Hydraulic Options

A single rear remote valve is available as an option on the YM2, adding hydraulic flow at the rear for implements such as a hydraulically angled blade. Yanmar also offers a bucket level indicator for the YL405, which helps return the bucket to level without looking down.

Stability With Heavy Loads

R4 tires resist sidewall flex under a full bucket, and the YM232’s roughly 2,866-pound weight keeps it planted. Carrying loads low and adding a rear implement as counterweight improves stability further.

Seasonal Care

Before winter, greasing the loader pins and checking the hydraulic fluid level with the bucket lowered prepares the tractor for snow duty.

Storing a Diesel Tractor

Parking the tractor with a full fuel tank limits the air space where condensation forms, which keeps water out of the fuel system over long idle periods. Draining the water separator at each service catches any moisture that does get in.
