Yanmar 300 Series 72″ Kawasaki Zero Turn Mower

Description

Yanmar YZ372 72-Inch Zero-Turn Mower for Wide-Open Acreage

The YZ372 is a 72-inch mower for properties where the fastest route to a finished lawn is fewer passes. Yanmar pairs the wide deck with the same 27 HP Kawasaki FX850V and Parker HTJ transaxles as the YZ360, so the extra cutting width comes with power that has been sized for it. On big, open ground the six-foot swath reduces overlap and gives a more uniform striping pattern than a narrower deck can manage. Its deck is the widest in the 300 Series.

Width, Power and Comfort

At 11 mph with a 72-inch cut, the YZ372 covers acreage quickly; published productivity figures put it close to eight acres an hour. The deck is 7-gauge fabricated steel, fuel capacity is 12.5 gallons, and the 300 Series suspension seat gives about three inches of travel for long sessions on uneven ground. Wide decks are sensitive to tire pressure, so matching the rear tires closely keeps the cut level from one end of the 72-inch deck to the other.

Who Should Choose 72 Inches

The YZ372 is for pasture edges, sports fields, churchyards and large rural lawns where the mower seldom has to squeeze past anything. If gates or tree spacing are tight, the YZ360 gives the same engine on a 60-inch deck. For the same width with more speed and power, the YZ472 moves to a 35 HP FX1000V and 15 mph. Yanmar’s accessory chart lists no bagger for the YZ372, so it is a mower for owners who mulch or side-discharge; the YZMK372-472 mulch kit and the YZDL300-400 electric deck lift both fit.
