Yanmar YRC104R 4-Foot Rotary Cutter with Shear Pin Protection

The YRC104R is the narrowest rotary cutter in Yanmar’s range, a 4-foot, single-spindle brush mower for sub-compact and small compact tractors. It is the cutter for trails between trees, fence lines and the overgrown corners that a lawn mower cannot handle, clearing grass, weeds and saplings up to an inch thick.

Simple Protection, Low Running Cost

A shear pin protects this model’s driveline. When a blade strikes a rock or buried post, the pin breaks before the gearbox or PTO shaft can be damaged, and replacing it costs very little. Heat-treated free-swinging blades fold back on impact, a pan-style stump jumper rides the deck over obstacles, and full-length skid shoes let it glide over rough ground.

Choose the YRC104R for tractors from about 18 to 45 HP where the ground is reasonably clear of rocks. Owners cutting stony pasture should compare the YRC104SCR, which adds a slip clutch at the same width. Wider cuts come from the 5-foot YRC205R and 6-foot YRC206R.
