The YMP202 carries two 14-inch moldboards, turning a 28-inch-wide band of soil on each pass. For compact and utility tractors with enough weight and traction, that halves the time to plow a plot compared with a single bottom, while keeping the same furrow quality.

Built for Heavier Tractors

At about 479 pounds, the YMP202 has replaceable plowshares and shins, and uses a Category 1 hitch that is not quick-hitch compatible. The limiting factor is traction rather than horsepower, so rear ballast or loaded tires help a compact tractor pull two bottoms steadily. The recommended range is 25 to 50 HP. Mowing heavy trash short before plowing helps both moldboards bury it cleanly instead of dragging it along.

Setting Up Two Bottoms

With two moldboards, the front furrow width needs to match the spacing between bottoms, or the second bottom will leave a ridge. Setting the tractor’s rear wheel spacing so the right tire runs in the open furrow helps the plow track straight.
