Where the LS Stops and the V-Ride II Starts

At this price the LS is approaching the bottom of the V-Ride II range, and the comparison is worth making deliberately. The V-Ride II brings a Velocity Plus deck, separate pumps and motors, and 10.5 mph. This machine brings a lighter footprint, run-flat casters as standard and a lower price. Seven Miles an Hour Is a Real Constraint

The LS tops out well below Scag’s other stand-ons, and on a route with long transit runs between cutting areas that difference accumulates across a day. It matters little on small enclosed properties where the machine rarely gets out of second gear anyway, and it matters a great deal on a campus or a park. Match the machine to how much of the day is spent travelling.

Keep the Platform Clean

The operator platform collects wet clippings and becomes slippery long before anyone thinks to look at it, and on a stand-on that is the surface holding the person up. Brushing it off at each property, or at least at each break, takes seconds and is worth more than any other housekeeping on the machine.

Choosing at 48 Inches

The SVLS-48H-25CX offers more power for several hundred less, which makes this the badge choice. If speed is the constraint, the V-Ride II range starts not far above this price with a substantially quicker machine.
