Scag Cheetah II 72″ Zero Turn Mower SCZII-72RD-40BV-EFI *REAR DISCHARGE*

Description

Scag Cheetah II 72 Inch Rear Discharge Blackout Edition

This is the rarest configuration in the Cheetah II range: the 72 inch rear-discharge deck, the 40 horsepower Vanguard BIG BLOCK EFI, and Scag’s Blackout paint and trim on top of both.

Specifying an Uncommon Combination

Every additional constraint on a specification narrows what is actually built. Widest deck, rear discharge and a limited finish together produce a machine that exists in small numbers, and a buyer who needs all three is choosing from a short list rather than placing an order. The practical consequence is lead time: this is a machine to decide on early in a buying cycle rather than to look for when the old one fails.

• Cutting width: 72 inches, rear-discharge Velocity Plus deck
• Engine: Vanguard BIG BLOCK EFI, 40 HP
• Finish: Blackout paint and trim
• Discharge: rearward, no side chute
• Transaxle: two-speed ZT-5400
• Cutting height: 1.25 to 5 inches in quarter-inch increments

Anti-Scalp Rollers Are Adjustable

The rollers under the deck are set for a height range rather than fixed, and a deck run consistently low with rollers left at their factory position will drag them along the turf instead of using them as a last defence. Moving them to match the cutting height actually being used is a ten minute job that most owners never do and that shows up directly in finish quality.

Planning a Replacement Before You Need It

Fleets running an unusual specification benefit from deciding the replacement cycle in advance rather than reactively, because the machine that is hardest to source is the worst one to be without. Knowing at the start of a season which unit will be changed at the end of it, and saying so, turns a scarce configuration from a problem into a scheduled purchase.

The Alternatives If This Is Not Available

In standard finish the identical machine is the SCZII-72RD-40BV-EFI. Accepting 61 inches opens up the SCZII-61RD-38CV-EFI and SCZII-61RD-38FX-EFI, and accepting side discharge opens the whole 72 inch range including the Blackout SCZII-72V-40BV-EFI-SS.
