Description

Honda WB20 2 Inch General Purpose Water Pump, 164 GPM

The WB20 is Honda’s 2 inch general purpose dewatering pump, sized for the clean or lightly dirty water jobs most owners actually face: draining a flooded basement or pool cover, lowering a pond, filling a stock tank or irrigating from a ditch. It moves up to 164 gallons per minute through 2 inch NPT ports, powered by a 118 cc GX120 commercial engine with Oil Alert.

Cast Iron Where It Counts

Both the rigid-mounted volute and the four-vane impeller are cast iron, which resists wear from the grit that always finds its way into suction water. The mechanical seal uses silicon carbide on both faces, an abrasion-resistant pairing that lasts longer than softer seal materials in sandy water.

Lift and Pressure

The WB20 self-primes in about 110 seconds at a 16.4 foot suction lift, draws from as deep as 25 feet and pushes to a total head of 105 feet. Maximum pressure is 45 psi. At 44 lb dry, it can be carried by one person to a flooded crawlspace hatch or a pond bank.

Priming and Suction Hose

Fill the pump case with water before every start, and use reinforced suction hose that will not collapse under vacuum. Keep the strainer on the suction end; Honda lists part 78325-YG3-000 as its replacement.

Not a Trash Pump

The WB20 is built for water with only fine grit. For muddy job-site water carrying stones and debris, the WT20 trash pump passes solids up to 13/16 inch.

Other Sizes

The 3 inch WB30 nearly doubles the flow for larger volumes, and the WX15 is the lighter choice for small jobs.
