Honda HRX-BV 21″ Battery Lawn Mower

Description

Honda HRX-BV 21 Inch Battery Self-Propelled Mower with Versamow

The HRX-BV brings Honda’s premium HRX deck to battery power at a more accessible price than the HRX-BE. It keeps the rust-free NeXite deck, the 4-in-1 Versamow system and MicroCut twin blades, runs on a single battery bay, and ships with an 8 Ah pack and a standard charger. For a typical suburban front and back yard, it is the HRX most owners will need.

A Deck That Will Not Rust or Dent

NeXite is a high-impact composite rather than steel, so the 21 inch deck resists dents and corrosion over years of wet grass and fertilizer. Honda shapes it for strong airflow, which helps both the cut and how tightly clippings pack into the 2.2 bushel bag.

Mulch, Bag, Discharge or Shred

The Clip Director knob sets how much of each cut is bagged or mulched, and the mower can also discharge through a rear door or shred leaves without tools or attachments. Honda’s Select Drive gives variable self-propelled speed from 0 to 4 mph, set to suit the operator’s walking pace.

HRX-BV Measurements

• Motor: 1.5 kW brushless, compared by Honda to its GCV170
• Battery included: 8 Ah, up to 30 minutes per charge
• Optional 12 Ah pack: up to 45 minutes
• Charge time: 4.5 hours standard, about 1 hour with the 8 A quick charger
• Cutting height: 0.75 to 4 in, 7 settings; weight 84.7 lb without battery
• Warranty: 5 years residential, 90 days commercial; battery 3 years residential

Mowing Within a Charge

Thirty minutes covers a modest lawn. For something larger, plan the route so the far corners are mown first while the pack is full, and leave the area nearest the garage for last. An optional 12 Ah battery in the single bay extends each session.

Handle and Storage

The quick-release handle adjusts to three heights and folds over for compact storage, and all four 9 inch wheels run on ball bearings. An LED headlight helps for early or late mowing.

Which Honda Battery Mower?

Step up to the HRX-BE for two battery bays, Roto-Stop and push-button speed control. The HRN-BV is the lighter, simpler steel-deck option for smaller yards.
