Honda FG110 Mini Tiller and Cultivator, 9 Inch, 4-Stroke

The FG110 is a compact tiller-cultivator for raised beds, flower borders and tight spaces in established gardens. It weighs less than 29 lb, runs on straight unleaded gasoline through a 25 cc GX25 mini 4-stroke engine with no oil mixing, and arrives fully assembled. Straighten the handle, add fuel and oil, and it is ready to go.

Patented Hybrid Tines

Honda’s patented hybrid tines are designed for both digging and cultivating, so the FG110 can break new ground in a small bed or loosen soft soil around plants. They carry a limited lifetime warranty. Turning at up to 294 rpm, they work through soil quickly. The standard set tills 9 inches wide, and with the outer tines removed, the width narrows to 6 inches.

Working Close to Plants

Honda says the FG110 can till within 1 inch of plants without damage, which is why it suits weeding and loosening soil between rows of vegetables or among perennials. The adjustable depth bar controls depth and forward speed together.

Wheels, Guard and Attachments

Two-position transport wheels handle smooth or rough ground and come off when tilling starts. The engine guard protects the top, front and back of the engine and gives a lifting handle, a tie-down point and a stand for setting it on its nose for service. Optional aerator, border/edger, dethatcher and digging-tine attachments extend its season.

Tine Care

Small tines collect roots and string quickly. Stop the engine and clear them after each bed rather than letting material wind on tighter.

Mini or Mid-Tine?

For opening a whole vegetable plot at once, the F220 tills up to 21 inches wide, and the FC600 covers 26 inches.
