BCS Spider Bungees for Tire Chains (Set of 2)

A tire chain lasts longer when it stays evenly tight. These spider bungees fit over the outside of the wheel and pull the chain in from six points, keeping uniform tension through each rotation. BCS says they can increase chain life by up to 25 percent.

Six Arms, Even Tension

Six elastic arms reach out from a center hub to the chain, so it is drawn in evenly all the way round rather than slackening in one spot. Less slack means less slap against the tire and fender and less wear on links and cross chains.

Fitment

• Fits: BCS 5×12 and 6.5×12 tire chains only

Fitting Them

Fit the chains first and tighten them, then attach the bungee arms evenly around the chain so the hub sits centered on the wheel. Check after a few minutes of work and reposition any arm that has slipped.

Smaller Chains

The bungees do not fit the 4×8, 4×10 or 5×10 chain sets; tighten those by hand and check them often.
