Plenty of BCS tractors built before 1995 are still running, and their owners still buy new attachments. The catch is that BCS moved its PTO from a splined shaft to a three-dog shaft in 1995. This adapter fits a pre-1995 tractor so it can drive a current BCS attachment, opening up today’s range to an older machine.

Keeping an Older Tractor Useful

A well-maintained older BCS gearbox has years of life in it, and a new tiller, flail or snow thrower does not require replacing the tractor too. With this adapter on the old spline PTO, modern three-dog attachments connect and run. Check BCS’s chart for attachment sizing, since older tractors have their own engine sizes and limits.
