A 30 mm screen is a slightly finer alternative to the 35 mm screen that comes with the BCS B-100 chipper/shredder. For owners who find the standard output a touch coarse but do not want to slow the machine with the small-hole screens, it is the natural step down.

Volume Work With a Finer Finish

Property clean-ups produce mixed piles of brush trimmings, leaves and stems in quantity. With 30 mm holes the chipper keeps a brisk pace through that kind of mixed material while giving a shredded product a little more uniform than the standard screen, useful as path mulch or as a base layer for compost.

Chipping and Shredding Together

The 25 mm screen makes better compost feedstock; the 50 mm is the most open for bulk. The 35 mm standard sits just above this one.
