BCS 50″ Single Belt Hay Rake

Raking mown hay by hand is slow, heavy work, and the 50 inch single belt hay rake does it from the tractor. It sweeps cut grass, hay and other plant material into a neat windrow ready for baling or forking onto a wagon. It is made by Repossi of Italy, a hay equipment specialist since 1898, and it fits every BCS tractor.

A Partner for the Sickle Bar

Sickle bar and dual action mowers cut plants once at the base and leave them lying intact, which is exactly the material a belt rake handles best. Small hay makers, homesteaders with a few acres of grass and growers making mulch hay pair this rake with a BCS sickle bar to bring in hay without a four-wheel tractor.

Steering and Windrow Control

A steering lever at the operator’s position controls the rake’s two front wheels. An adjustable catching arm on the right side sets the width and position of the windrow, so successive passes can build windrows of the size the baler or the person with the fork prefers. A stabilizer foot holds the rake upright when it is unhitched.

Tedding Wet Hay

Rain on cut hay is the hay maker’s worst day. With the catcher arm raised fully out of the way, the rake converts to a tedder that throws the material out and spreads it evenly to dry again. Ted once the surface has dried, then rake into windrows when the hay rattles. Coverage is three years residential and one year commercial.

One Belt or Two

The 60 inch dual belt rake moves more material per pass but needs a 739 or larger tractor with a quick hitch or PTO extension. The 50 inch single belt is the rake for the 710 to 732 and for smaller fields.
