The 4 x 17 inch pair is the smallest steel cage wheel BCS sells. Cage wheels take the place of rubber tires to give a two-wheel tractor positive grip on soft, wet or sloping ground, and this lower 17 inch diameter suits owners who want steel traction without raising the tractor much.

Low and Grippy

The steel bars of a cage wheel cut into the ground rather than skating over it. On a muddy plot, a wet hillside or loose cultivated soil they keep the tractor pulling where a worn or clogged tire spins. A smaller diameter keeps the tractor lower, which matters for attachments whose working height depends on wheel size.
