BCS 4-Way Log Splitter Wedge

The 4-way wedge splits each round into four pieces on a single stroke of the BCS log splitter, so each stroke does more of the work. It is built in Canada by Wallenstein, the same maker as the BCS log splitter, and installs in less than five minutes.

More Firewood per Stroke

The splitter takes about 7 seconds to split and 7 to return. Fewer strokes per log make a real difference over a winter’s firewood. The horizontal cross blade is 3/4 inch iron, fixed across the main wedge so the round opens into quarters as it is pushed through.

Rounds That Suit It

The 4-way wedge works best on straight-grained, medium-diameter rounds. Small rounds may need only one split, and knotty or very large rounds can be easier to halve first with the standard wedge. Center each round on the wedge so the four pieces come out roughly equal.

Splitter Requirements

The wedge adds to the log splitter attachment, which itself needs the Power Cradle and a curved coupler on the tractor.
