BCS 1 Meter Straight Toolbar

The straight bar lets a BCS tractor pull more than one drag implement at once. One meter long and 1.5 inches thick, it clamps into the Tool Carrier Kit and holds tools side by side, so two rows are worked in a single pass. Its most popular use, according to BCS, is carrying two ridgers to mark out rows or hill plants.

Two Ridgers, One Pass

With two ridgers on the bar, the distance between their points can be set up to 35 inches. Spaced apart, they hill two crop rows and leave a strip of undisturbed soil between them for a walkway. Closer together, they mark out planting rows for the next pass. Each tool’s height is set on the bar.

Cultivator Shanks and More

The bar also takes multiple shanks for different styles of cultivator teeth, including V-sweeps, and BCS’s bed shaper kit is built on the same 1 meter bar with two disc hillers. Root diggers can be doubled up on it as well.

Ballast for Two Tools

Two implements double the drag, and on a light tractor the wheels spin before both tools reach depth. Fit wheel weights or barbell hangers before the first season, and set both tools to the same height so the bar pulls straight.
