The 750 is built for professional growers who till hard ground and want each pass to count. It is the only BCS tractor that runs the 33 inch HD tiller, and it does something no other model on 22 inch tires does: reduction gears in the axles slow the wheels relative to the PTO, giving a creeper speed with full-size tires. This version has recoil start and the Honda GX390.

More Bites Per Foot of Travel

BCS puts the effect of those axle reductions at about 30 percent more tine bites, or flail cuts, per forward foot than a model with the same tire size. In practice the tiller digs deeper in a single pass and a flail mower leaves finer residue. The working speeds reflect it: 0.6, 1.4 and 2.1 mph in each direction, slower in every gear than the 749 for the same engine.

The 33 Inch HD Tiller and Heavy Tools

The 33 inch HD tiller weighs about 180 lbs and mounts only on the 750, with its HD 3-bolt bushing. BCS also recommends the 750 for the swivel rotary plow, the 35 inch flail mower and the 33 inch two-stage snow blower. It does not take the 18 and 20 inch tillers, the 24 inch snow thrower, 24 inch flail, 21 inch brush mower, 22 inch lawn mower or 21 inch power harrow. Its own curved-coupler tools, the spreader and trailer, cannot be fitted while the 33 inch tiller is mounted.

Deep Tilling Without Overworking the Soil

Because the 750 bites harder per foot, first gear is often deeper than a bed needs after the initial breaking pass. Set the depth for the job, use the faster gears for secondary tillage, and avoid working wet clay, which smears into a hardpan below tine depth. Coverage includes lifetime residential and five-year commercial transmission terms, five years on the clutch for residential owners, and three years residential or one year commercial overall; Honda warrants the engine.

Picking the Right PowerSafe Tractor

The electric-start 750 adds key starting with a recoil backup. The 749 shares the GX390 and 22 inch tires but runs faster gears and uses ordinary quick hitch mounting, which suits growers who till already-worked ground and prefer more speed.
