This is the 48 inch V-Ride II built to California emissions requirements, running a 26 horsepower Kawasaki FT Series engine with electronic fuel injection. It is the most powerful 48 inch configuration in the range and the only one a California commercial operator can put into service.

What Compliance Actually Means Here

California certifies small off-road engines separately from the federal standard, and equipment sold or operated in the state has to carry a compliant powerplant. The machine is otherwise the same V-Ride II, with the same Velocity Plus deck and drive system. Buyers outside California gain nothing from the compliant version and pay a small premium for it, so the CA suffix is a requirement to check rather than a feature to want.
