Yanmar YBB306 73.5-Inch 300 Series Heavy-Duty Box Scraper

The YBB306 is the heavy-duty 72-inch-class box scraper in Yanmar’s line, rated for tractors from about 20 to 50 HP. At roughly 474 pounds, with 3/8-inch side panels and a 22-inch-deep box, it carries more material and holds up better to rocks and repeated shock loads than the standard-duty model.

Six Scarifiers, Deeper Box

Six hardened scarifier shanks with replaceable tips rip compacted ground, adjustable to four positions in 1.5-inch steps. The moldboard stands almost 17 inches tall, and front and rear high-carbon edges are double-beveled and reversible. The Category 1 mount is quick-hitch compatible.

Ripping Compacted Ground

On hardpan and old roadbeds, ripping with all six shanks at a shallow setting first, then deeper on a second pass, spreads the load on the tractor. The extra weight of this box helps the shanks penetrate without adding ballast. On old roadbeds, removing oversized rocks the scarifiers bring up keeps them from dragging through the finished surface.

Who Needs the Heavy-Duty Box

Choose the YBB306 for tough soils, road repair and frequent use. The YBB206 is lighter and lower in cost for general work, and the 85.5-inch YBB307 adds width for larger tractors.
