Yanmar YBB104 49.25-Inch Box Scraper Blade

The YBB104 is Yanmar’s smallest box scraper, built for sub-compact tractors from about 15 to 28 HP. A box blade cuts, carries and spreads material in one tool, making it the best choice for turning rough ground into a level finished surface, whether that is a garden plot, a shed pad or a patch of washed-out gravel.

Cutting Edges and Scarifiers

Front and rear cutting edges are high-carbon, double-beveled and reversible, so the blade cuts in both forward and reverse. Four hardened scarifier shanks with replaceable tips break up compacted ground ahead of the blade, and they can be set at three depths or removed entirely. The box is 18 inches deep with quarter-inch side panels, and the unit weighs about 245 pounds on a limited Category 1, quick-hitch compatible mount.

Using the Scarifiers

Lowering the scarifiers for one pass loosens hard ground, then raising them lets the blade collect and spread the loosened material. That two-step approach gives a smoother result than trying to rip and level at once.

Is This the Right Box Blade?

The YBB104 suits sub-compacts working smaller areas. Compact tractors from about 18 HP can use the 60.75-inch YBB205 for more capacity per pass.
