Yanmar YHF30 2,000 lb Hay Fork for Category 1 and 2 Hitches

The YHF30 is the heavier-duty hay fork in Yanmar’s line, rated for 2,000-pound round bales and fitted for both Category 1 and Category 2 three-point hitches. It suits larger compact and utility tractors moving full-size round bales around the farm.

Heavier Frame

The YHF30 shares the 1.8-inch tapered main spear and two 1.25-inch stabilizer spikes of the smaller model, but its frame is built for the higher rating and weighs about 98 pounds. It remains quick-hitch compatible with no hydraulics to maintain. Stabilizer spikes keep the bale square to the tractor, which matters on uneven ground.

Checking Tractor Capacity

Before lifting a 2,000-pound bale on the rear, confirm the tractor’s three-point lift capacity at the spear’s load point, which is further back than the lift arms. Lifting only high enough to clear the ground also keeps the center of gravity low. Inspect the main spear for bending after heavy use, since a bent spear loses grip.
