This is the 61 inch V-Ride II with the 38.5 horsepower Kawasaki FX EFI engine, supplied from the factory on flat-free airless drive tires. It is the heaviest and most expensive configuration in the V-Ride II range.

Weight Is the Thing to Plan For

The 61 inch models already run between 1,127 and 1,173 lbs before the airless tires add their share. That figure matters at both ends of the day. Loading up a ramp, a machine this heavy builds momentum quickly and an operator who is used to a 48 inch unit will find it less willing to stop partway. Two-piece ramps rated for a lighter machine are a common and avoidable failure point.

Tying Down a Stand-On

Stand-on mowers are awkward to secure because the obvious anchor points are on the deck, which moves relative to the frame. Straps should run to the frame itself and pull the machine down onto the trailer bed rather than forward against the ramp gate, and the parking brake is not a substitute for a strap. Check the straps again after the first few miles, since airless tires settle less than pneumatics and can leave a strap slacker than it started.

Deciding on the Tire Option at 61 Inches

Specify airless where the ground punctures tires and a stranded machine costs you a day.
