Scag Mini Skid-Steer Grapple Bucket (9809)

Description

Scag Mini Skid-Steer Grapple Bucket

A grapple bucket turns a mini skid steer from a machine that pushes material into one that picks material up. The hydraulic upper jaw closes onto the load and holds it against the bucket floor, so brush, storm debris, demolition waste and root balls can be carried and placed rather than dozed into a pile and handled twice.

What It Changes on a Cleanup

Loose, irregular material is the case a plain bucket handles worst. Branches bridge across the opening, spring back out on the way to the truck, and have to be trimmed or hand-loaded. With a grapple the operator closes the jaw, lifts, and drives, which removes most of the hand work from a storm cleanup or a lot clearing and keeps the crew out of the pile.

• Type: hydraulic grapple bucket for stand-on mini skid steers
• Mount: universal-type quick attach, as fitted to the Scag Jackal
• Function: hydraulic upper jaw closing onto the bucket floor
• Requires an auxiliary hydraulic circuit on the carrier machine

Before You Order

Confirm your carrier has an auxiliary hydraulic circuit and couplers fitted, since a grapple is not usable without one. If you are pairing this with a Jackal, both the 35.5 inch and 40 inch frames carry the same universal mount. For handling rock and soil rather than brush, the mini skid-steer rock bucket sifts fines through its tines instead of gripping, and for clean material a standard or dirt bucket moves more volume per pass at lower cost.
