Sixty-one inches is the widest deck Scag fits to the Liberty Z, and this is the Kawasaki-powered version at 24 horsepower. It is the most expensive machine in the homeowner range and it is aimed at properties measured in acres rather than lots.

A Homeowner Machine at Commercial Width

Most private buyers never need this much deck, but the ones who do tend to need it badly: smallholdings, paddock edges, long verges on a rural drive, and the two or three acres that come with an old farmhouse. The SZL-61H-26KT offers more power for less money with a Kohler engine, and the SZL-61H-27SR is the most powerful in the range with a Scag SR unit. This Kawasaki version is the premium badge rather than the premium specification. If the ground does not truly need 61 inches, the 52 inch machines are easier to store and cheaper to buy.
