The collection system built specifically for Scag’s V-Ride XL stand-on mowers. It is not interchangeable with the V-Ride II catcher despite the similar machine names.

Two Similar Machines, Two Different Catchers

The V-Ride XL rides on a larger frame than the V-Ride II, and the catcher reflects that rather than simply bolting on. Ordering by machine family name alone is how the wrong part arrives, because a V-Ride catcher is not one item. Confirm the machine is an XL before ordering, and confirm the deck width for the install kit separately.

Collection Changes How a Stand-On Handles

Adding a catcher puts weight behind the rear axle of a machine the operator is standing on, which alters balance noticeably as the hopper fills. On slopes the difference is worth respecting, and an operator used to the machine empty should take the first loaded descent slowly rather than assuming nothing has changed.

Getting the Install Kit Right

Install kits for the XL catcher are split by deck size, with one covering 52 inch machines and another covering 61 and 72 inch machines. The V-Ride II catcher and its own kits are entirely separate parts.
