BCS Drawbar Hitch and Bushing

This is the drawbar half of BCS’s Tool Carrier Kit, sold on its own for owners who already have the adjustable tool carrier. Bolted to the tractor’s PTO connection, it gives the carrier and its drag implements a stronger, more durable mounting than older ways of attaching them.

Who Should Order It

BCS’s advice is simple: if you already own the adjustable tool carrier and want to mount it to the PTO for a stronger connection, the drawbar is the only part you need. Owners starting from scratch should buy the complete Tool Carrier Kit, which includes this drawbar along with the carrier itself.

Drawbar Details

• Mounts: to the PTO connection by its studs
• Quick hitch option: fits on an empty quick hitch tang
• Connects: the adjustable tool carrier, via pin and bushing
• Serves: ridger, V-cultivator, subsoiler, root digger and other drag tools

Checking the Mounting

Drag implements put steady pulling loads through the drawbar, especially a subsoiler in hard ground. Check the mounting nuts are tight after the first hour of use and at the start of each season, and look for wear in the pin and bushing that lets the carrier rattle.
