BCS 67″ Dual Action Sickle Bar Mower (No Fingers)

The 67 inch fingerless dual action bar is the mid-width of BCS’s three bars without fingers, sized for the 739 and larger tractors. It cuts mixed ground of grass, weeds and saplings without the risk of breaking fingers, and it comes complete with its dual action oil-bath transmission.

Mixed Ground, One Mower

Much rural land is neither clean meadow nor solid brush: field edges creep with saplings, old pasture fills with scrub. A fingerless bar takes all of it, because stems go straight to the opposing knives instead of being guided by fingers that can snap on woody stems. The heavier self-adjusting tensioners on this version keep the knives seated under that harder work.

Wide but Manageable

At 67 inches the bar covers ground quickly while staying manageable on the 739’s 19 inch wheels or the heavier tractors’ 22 inch tires. A swivel joint in the drive lets it follow uneven ground, and the dual action design keeps vibration down, which counts on a long day reclaiming rough land.

Steep Ground With a Wide Bar

A wide bar extends well beyond the wheels, which is what lets it mow banks the tractor cannot drive on, but it also shifts weight to the downhill side. Keep the bar on the downhill side when cutting across a slope, lock the differential for traction, and use steering brakes rather than force at the turns. Coverage is three years residential and one year commercial.

Other Dual Action Widths

The 51 inch fingerless bar fits the 722 and 732 too. The 82 inch needs a 749 or larger. For clean grass on a 739, the 59 or 71 inch finger bars cut faster.
