Yanmar YGB306 72-Inch 300 Series Heavy-Duty Grader Blade

The YGB306 is the heavy-duty version of Yanmar’s 72-inch blade, built for tractors from about 20 to 50 HP working hard, rocky or heavily compacted ground. At roughly 332 pounds, it is more than 100 pounds heavier than the 200 Series equivalent, and that weight is what keeps a blade cutting instead of skipping across firm gravel.

Heavy-Duty Features

Yanmar lists offset capability on its heavy-duty models, letting the blade slide sideways to reach beyond the tractor’s track for grading along fences, curbs and ditch banks. The moldboard stands 15 inches tall, the 3/8 by 6-inch high-carbon cutting edge reverses for twice the wear, and the blade angles to five positions each way up to 45 degrees.

Using the Offset

Offsetting the blade to one side lets the tractor stay on firm ground while the blade works a soft shoulder or ditch edge. It is also the easiest way to clean snow or gravel from under overhanging fences without driving into them.

Who Needs the Heavy-Duty Blade

Choose the YGB306 for regular grading of long gravel roads and tougher soils. For lighter work at the same width, the YGB206 costs less, and the 84-inch YGB307 adds width in the same heavy-duty build.
