Yanmar 54″ Land Grader

Description

Yanmar YLG114.5 54-Inch Land Grader

The YLG114.5 is Yanmar’s most compact land grader, a 54-inch tool for sub-compact and small compact tractors. A land grader uses two parallel blades set at a 10-degree angle to shave, carry and feather material, leaving a smoother surface than a box blade or single rear blade usually can.

How the Twin Blades Work

The front blade cuts high spots and the rear blade catches and spreads the loosened material into low spots, so a single pass levels as it goes. Blade depth adjusts from level to one and a half inches through the skid shoes, and the high-carbon, heat-treated cutting edges are reversible and replaceable. The unit weighs about 278 pounds and uses a clevis-and-pin hitch that is quick-hitch compatible. Its compact 58-inch overall width also fits through garden gates and between raised beds.

• Hitch: Limited Category 1
• Approximate weight: 278 lbs
• Working width: 54 in

Finish Grading

Land graders shine on final grading before seeding a lawn or pouring a pad. Making overlapping passes in two directions at a slow, steady speed produces a remarkably flat surface.

Choosing a Land Grader

The YLG114.5 fits smaller tractors and residential projects. Compact tractors from 25 HP can move up to the 60-inch YLG215.
