Description

Wright ZTB 48 Inch Commercial Zero-Turn Mower, 22 HP Kawasaki FS651

The ZTB is the entry point to Wright’s mid-mount zero-turn riders, and the 48 inch model is the compact one. It gives a start-up landscaper or a property owner with commercial expectations a seated machine with a welded deck, commercial transaxles and Wright’s serviceability, in a machine 77 inches long and under 50 inches wide with the deflector up.

A Welded 7 Gauge AeroFlow Deck

Wright builds the ZTB deck from heavy 7 gauge steel, welded, and fits three 16.5 inch blades. A deck height selector with laser-etched markings sets the cut from 1.5 to 5 inches, so the same height can be found again after a change. The belt drive uses large idlers, proven routing and built-in belt retention to simplify belt changes.

Comfort for the Seated Operator

The suspension seat is paired with isomounts that reduce the vibration reaching the operator. Large pneumatic front caster tires on sealed bearings smooth out rough ground and track straight. An integrated parking brake and simple steering adjustments help a new operator get settled quickly.

ZTB 48 Numbers That Matter

  • Engine: Kawasaki FS651E, 22 HP
  • Transaxles: Hydro-Gear ZT3100
  • Speed: 8.5 mph forward, 4 mph reverse
  • Fuel tank: 8 gal
  • Width: 49.5 in deflector up, 61.5 in deflector down
  • Length: 77 in
  • Weight: 970 lb
  • Rated at up to 4.12 acres per hour

Looking After Pneumatic Casters

Air-filled casters ride softer than solid ones, but they need a pressure check that solid tires do not. A soft caster on one side drops that corner of the deck and steers the mower off line. Check both with a gauge weekly, and consider Wright’s flat-free caster kit for the ZTB if your sites are full of thorns or construction debris.

ZTB 48 or a Different Wright

The 52 inch ZTB adds 18 inch blades for only ten more pounds. Operators who want front suspension, a 24 HP engine and 10 mph should compare the ZTS. If you would sooner stand, the Stander B 48 uses this engine and the same transaxles on a shorter machine with a smaller 5 gallon tank.
