The 4000HOT is Vortexx’s hot water machine: a Honda GX390 with electric start, an AR RK Series gear reduction pump and a Beckett burner, producing 4000 PSI at 4 GPM. Heated water cuts grease and oil that cold water only moves around, which makes it the machine in the line for grease-heavy cleaning.

Triple Protect Safety Shut-Off

Vortexx’s Triple Protect system watches the machine through a pressure sensor and a flow sensor, and adds a rupture disc to prevent catastrophic failure. A stainless heat shield covers the burner exhaust, and the gun and lance assembly is a standard 48 in insulated unit, so hands stay off hot metal.

Burner, Coil and Power

The time-tested Beckett burner runs under a Genisys control. Vortexx uses a horizontal coil assembly, which it says exhausts more efficiently and reduces the chimney effect of vertical coils. A standard deep cycle marine grade battery feeds the electric start through an automotive grade, heat sealed, plug and play wire harness, and the fuel tanks are integrated into the frame.

Keeping the Battery Ready

A deep cycle battery that sits discharged through a slow season loses capacity. Put the 4000HOT on a maintainer when it is parked for more than a few weeks, keep the terminals clean, and check the charge before the first cold morning.

Moving a 477 lb Machine

The welded aluminum frame has Vortexx’s channel lift system, the Tow & Stow handle and a low center of gravity, and a pivoting hose reel is optional. For cold water flatwork the 4000HD or gear drive 4000XG is the lighter choice.
