Description

Scag Tiger Cat II 61 Inch Simply the Brave Zero-Turn

This is the Simply the Brave build of the Tiger Cat II, combining the widest deck in the range with the 36 horsepower Vanguard BIG BLOCK, flat-free airless tires and the programme’s tan finish. It is priced level with the standard machine of the same output.

Airless Tires Included Rather Than Optional

Across most of Scag’s range the no-flat tire package is a chargeable option, and on some machines it adds well over a thousand dollars. Here it arrives with the machine at the same price as the standard 36 horsepower Tiger Cat. Anyone who would have specified airless anyway is getting the finish for nothing, which inverts the usual arithmetic on a limited edition.

  • Cutting width: 61 inches, Velocity Plus cutter deck
  • Engine: Vanguard BIG BLOCK, 36 HP
  • Drive tires: flat-free airless
  • Finish: Simply the Brave tan livery
  • Fuel capacity: 9.5 gallons
  • Overall length: 80 inches

Buying a Machine That Will Not Be Repeated

Programme builds run to a planned quantity and are not reissued, so the configuration on this machine, the widest deck with the largest engine and airless tires, exists only while the run lasts. A fleet that wants two matching units needs to buy them together rather than returning for a second later in the year, which is the opposite of how standard machines are usually acquired.

Checking Airless Tires for Set

A machine left standing on solid tires for a long period can take a slight flat spot where the weight sat, which usually works out within the first few minutes of use. Moving a stored machine a few feet every month or two prevents it entirely, and it is worth knowing about so a temporary vibration on the first run of the season is not mistaken for something structural.

Which Tan Machine Suits Your Sites

Within the Tiger Cats the Pink Warrior STCII-52V-26FT-EFI-P is the other cause livery, on a narrower deck with a smaller engine. In standard colours this machine is the STCII-61V-36BV on pneumatic tires. Scag also runs the tan finish on the V-Ride II, V-Ride XL, Cheetah II, Turf Tiger II, Patriot, Liberty Z and SLS.
