A high-volume bucket for the Scag Jackal, sized for light bulk materials such as mulch, bark, compost and wood chip rather than for soil or aggregate.

Built for Volume, Not for Weight

Light material fills a bucket long before it loads the machine, so a mulch bucket is made deliberately large. The same bucket used for wet soil would exceed the loader’s capacity while looking half full, which is why it is sold as a separate tool rather than as simply a bigger dirt bucket. Used as intended it roughly halves the passes on a mulch delivery.

Mulch Moves Differently When It Is Wet

A delivery that has stood in rain weighs far more than the same volume dry, and it also sticks in the bucket rather than tipping out cleanly. Working from the dry side of a pile where possible, and taking smaller bites from wet material, avoids both the overload and the shovel work at the tipping end.

Choosing a Bucket by Material

For soil and aggregate the dirt buckets are the correct tools, and for mixed general work the standard or gate bucket. The grapple bucket handles brush and irregular debris that no plain bucket will hold.
