Description

CID Attachments Concrete Bucket For Skid Steers

The CID Attachments Concrete Bucket For Skid Steers allows operators to move freshly mixed concrete from a mixer or ready-mix chute to the pour location using a standard skid steer as the carrier machine. Available in three volumes – 1/2 cubic yard (HALFYCB), 3/4 cubic yard (3QTRRYCB), and 1 cubic yard (1YCB) – the CID concrete bucket is built for construction operations where a ready-mix truck cannot position close enough to the pour area, or where site conditions require an intermediate transport step between the truck and the final placement point. The bucket is fabricated from heavy steel and includes a controlled discharge gate that allows the operator to regulate concrete flow rate during placement.

Volume Options and Selection

The three available volumes allow operators to match the bucket capacity to both the mix volume available per fill cycle and the skid steer’s rated operating capacity. The 1/2 cubic yard (HALFYCB) model is suited to smaller skid steers and tight workspaces where maneuverability is prioritized over volume per cycle. The 3/4 yard (3QTRRYCB) model offers a balance of capacity and machine load. The 1 cubic yard (1YCB) model delivers maximum pour volume per machine cycle on larger machines with the rated lift capacity to handle a full yard of mixed concrete, which weighs approximately 4,000 pounds at standard mix proportions.

  • 1/2 cubic yard (HALFYCB), 3/4 cubic yard (3QTRRYCB), and 1 cubic yard (1YCB) models available
  • Controlled discharge gate for regulated pour flow and placement
  • Heavy steel construction for concrete transport loads
  • Smooth interior for clean concrete flow and minimal adhesion
  • Compatible with standard skid steer universal quick-attach plates
  • Workflow and Productivity

A typical workflow positions the mixer or ready-mix truck at the closest accessible point to the pour location, fills the bucket at that point, and uses the skid steer to transport concrete across any distance or terrain between the truck and the pour area. The skid steer’s ability to work on rough, unpaved, and sloped surfaces makes it more versatile in this role than a concrete buggy or motorized wheelbarrow in many job conditions. Multiple fill-transport-pour cycles can keep a continuous supply of concrete available at the placement point, maintaining pour continuity without waiting for the truck to reposition.

    Post-Pour Cleanup

Wash the bucket interior immediately after each pour. Concrete that is allowed to partially set in the bucket requires mechanical removal that can damage the interior surface and the discharge gate mechanism. Operating the gate through its full range while flushing with water clears concrete from the gate seating area. Inspect the gate and pivot mechanism for concrete buildup before each use and clear any accumulation before filling the bucket.
