Ariens PLATINUM 28 RAPIDTRAK SHO Sno-Thro 921073

Description

Ariens Platinum 28 RapidTrak SHO Snow Blower

The Ariens Platinum 28 RapidTrak SHO 921073 is a high-performance track-driven snow blower designed for homeowners who demand superior snow clearing capacity, exceptional traction, and effortless operation. Featuring the exclusive SHO (Super High Output) impeller system, this machine moves more snow per pass than standard two-stage models, cutting clearing time and reducing operator effort. The combination of track-driven traction and SHO technology makes this one of the most capable residential snow blowers available for challenging terrain and heavy snowfall conditions.

SHO Impeller System for Maximum Snow Throughput

The SHO technology in the Platinum 28 RapidTrak sets this model apart from conventional snow blowers. The Super High Output impeller design increases snow intake and discharge efficiency by up to 25 percent compared to standard impellers, allowing the machine to process 77 tons/hour. This means you can clear large areas faster and handle heavy, wet snow with less bogging and fewer clogs. The SHO system maintains consistent performance even when processing dense, moisture-laden snow that would slow down standard machines.

The 28″ (71cm) clearing width provides excellent coverage for residential driveways and commercial walkways, while the aggressive auger system breaks up compacted snow and ice before feeding it into the high-speed SHO impeller. The result is powerful, consistent snow discharge that throws snow up to 50 feet away, placing it well clear of driveways and pathways. The increased throwing distance is particularly valuable when clearing large areas where you need to place snow far from the cleared path.

RapidTrak System for Superior Traction and Control

The RapidTrak track system delivers unmatched traction on slopes, ice, gravel, and uneven surfaces. Unlike wheeled snow blowers that can slip and lose grip in challenging conditions, the Platinum 28 RapidTrak maintains positive traction and smooth forward motion. The wide rubber tracks distribute weight evenly, reducing ground pressure and preventing the machine from sinking into soft snow or getting stuck on inclines. This weight distribution also minimizes surface damage, making the RapidTrak system ideal for gravel driveways and delicate surfaces.

The RapidTrak system also provides superior maneuverability, allowing you to make tight turns and navigate around obstacles with ease. The track-driven design offers better control and stability than wheeled models, especially when working on slopes or uneven terrain. The tracks maintain consistent grip regardless of surface conditions, providing confidence and control in all winter weather.

Ariens AX Engine and Premium Features

Powering the Platinum 28 RapidTrak SHO is the 389 cc Ariens AX® engine, built to deliver reliable starting and consistent performance in cold weather. The engine is paired with Ariens Auto-Turn steering technology, which allows you to turn the machine with minimal effort by simply squeezing the control lever on the handle. This feature reduces operator fatigue and makes it easy to maneuver the snow blower in tight spaces, even when wearing heavy winter gloves.

The machine also includes a standard LED headlight for early morning or evening snow clearing, an adjustable chute with remote deflector control, and heated hand grips for operator comfort during extended use. The durable steel construction and powder-coat finish ensure long-term durability and resistance to rust and corrosion. The 120-volt electric start provides reliable cold-weather starting, eliminating the frustration of manual pull-starting in sub-zero temperatures.

Built for Heavy-Duty Use

The Ariens Platinum 28 RapidTrak SHO is engineered for homeowners who experience frequent, heavy snowfall and need a machine that can keep up with demanding conditions. The heavy-gauge steel auger housing, reinforced track frame, and commercial-grade components are designed to handle years of reliable service with minimal maintenance. The robust construction ensures the machine can withstand the stresses of clearing heavy snow on challenging terrain.

The SHO impeller is constructed from durable materials that resist wear and impact, and the entire drive system is built to withstand the rigors of regular use in harsh winter conditions. The track system uses commercial-grade rubber that resists cracking in extreme cold, ensuring reliable performance season after season.
