Ariens Mammoth 951002 Stand-On Snow Removal Vehicle with Vanguard EFI Power

The Ariens Mammoth 951002 is a four-wheel-drive, stand-on tool carrier built for operators who clear snow and ice across large properties all winter. One machine runs seven front and rear attachments, so a single operator can plow a lot, blow out a sidewalk, brush an entrance to bare pavement and treat it afterward without changing machines. It suits property managers, campuses, commercial contractors and municipal crews who need more reach than a walk-behind and less footprint than a truck.

Vanguard EFI Engine and Four-Wheel Hydraulic Drive

Power comes from a 28 hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard EFI engine. Electronic fuel injection matters most on the first start of a cold morning, when a carbureted engine would need choking and coaxing. A Parker HP2 pump drives an individual Parker DF-series motor at each wheel, and the 22 inch Terra-trac tires put that drive to the ground on packed snow. Travel speed reaches 8 mph forward and 4 mph in reverse, which keeps transit between buildings quick while holding reverse to a controlled pace when backing out of a windrow.

Seven Attachments, Each Sold Separately

The 36 inch (851002) and 48 inch (851001) snow blower heads are all steel, throw snow more than 60 feet and are controlled from a joystick on the dash, with steel scraper blades and skid shoes standard. The 48 inch plow blade (851003) pivots 30 degrees left or right on the electric joystick, while the all-steel 48 inch V-plow (851007) pairs a thick scraper blade with a trip-edge design to clear down to the pavement. The 44 inch power broom (851004) sweeps to the surface for zero-tolerance properties, and its polymer bristle discs replace individually as they wear. For treatment, the rear-mounted stainless salt spreader (851006) holds 2.0 cubic feet with drop widths of 30, 33 or 36 inches, and the brine spreader (851005) carries a 20 gallon tank, five nozzles and a handheld wand.

Matching the Setup to the Site

Open lots and wide drives favor the 48 inch plow blade or V-plow for speed, while the 36 inch blower head fits sidewalks and building approaches where snow has nowhere to be pushed. Pair either with the salt or brine spreader so the same operator can treat what was just cleared before it refreezes.
