What exactly sets Exmark apart from other commercial mowers? Several things. Perhaps the most significant is that Exmark’s research, design, and manufacturing is inspired throughout by owner feedback. Listening to operators who spend dozens of hours every week running the equipment has enabled Exmark to perfect equipment designs where it matters most. The innovation continues constantly, and results in features like Exmark’s UltraCut mowing decks, RED technology for increased fuel efficiency, and the Vanguard Oil Guard System, a feature available for the Lazer Z X-series that increases productivity by extending oil change intervals. But that’s only the beginning. Exmark commercial mowers are marvels of engineering, and built with components that are designed to handle the abuse of incessant work.
Exmark mowers include several model series. With each series come various engine power options, as well as various mowing deck sizes.
The Quest is a premium entry-level mower for homeowners. It comes with mowing deck widths of 42, 50, and 54 inches. The larger Exmark Radius models come equipped with deeper mower decks, commercial-grade engines, and other features characteristic of Exmark’s larger mowers. Yet, while boasting decidedly commercial features, the Radius is available at a price point that makes it a great value, and offers a lower cost of ownership than other machines.
The Lazer Z series are the true workhorses of the Exmark mower lineup. These mowers are designed for long operational life, easy maintenance, and comfortable operation. In the ranks of commercial zero-turn mowers, this is the gold standard. With advanced UltraCut decks with widths from 48 inches to 96 inches and ground speeds of over 11 mph, the Lazer Z can accomplish a lot of mowing in a single day. The Lazer Z is designed with a tubular unibody frame, with the engine, fuel tanks, and operator station positioned low and balanced well. Models are available with either side discharge or rear discharge of grass clippings. The Lazer Z Diesel mowers are powered by robust diesel engines, hydraulic deck lift, and wide cutting widths that include the 144 inch Flex Wing deck that folds to match lawn contours and to facilitate transport.
The Exmark Navigator is a fine-cutting mower with a built-on vacuum system for debris collection. The Navigator features a high blade tip speed that chops grass and leaves into fine particles, reducing their overall volume. The clippings are discharged from the rear of the cutting deck, keeping debris off of driveways and flower beds. A patented fill-reduction system allows the operator to collect all of the discharged clippings, or only some of it, which results in more mowing and less time emptying the collection system. Instead of lap bars, the Navigator uses FeatherTouch hand controls that make steering effortless and precise.
The standon mowers include the Staris and the Vertex. Both are highly maneuverable and quick, with the Vertex being larger, and featuring deeper UltraCut Series 4 cutting decks. Like the zero turns, the standons are easy to service, comfortable to operate, and designed for minimal routine maintenance. And of course, they are designed for exceptional mowing on any type of turf.
The Commercial 21 is a 21-inch self-propelled walk-behind mower with variable speed control for smaller mowing jobs, or for trimming the perimeters of larger properties. The bigger brother to the Commercial 21 is the Commercial 30. This walk-behind is powerful enough for tough mowing, yet is agile and lightweight for its size. A blade brake clutch (BBC) system allows the operator to engage or disengage the mower blade while the engine remains running. For those who need an even larger walk-behind style mower, the Turf Tracer is a hydro-drive commercial walk-behind with deck widths from 36 inches to 60 inches. Its full-floating mower deck mows with the same perfection of the Exmark zero turns, but is in a more compact format that can be transported easily.
In addition to the legendary mowing equipment, Exmark also manufactures turf maintenance equipment. These are the machines that keep lawns green, deep-rooted, and healthy. Known as Exmark’s Z Turf Equipment, this family includes the Z Spray ride on sprayer/spreaders. These units are available in several sizes, and can apply both granular fertilizer and liquid materials simultaneously, or separately. The Z Aerate aerators are powerful stand-on aerators. In addition to being plug aerators, the Z Aerate machines can be outfitted with attachments that enable them to do spraying, slice seeding, or dethatching! Finally, the Z Seed is a compact walk-behind slicer seeder that can verticut the lawn, dethatch, and overseed in one pass.
